Skip the Line
Skip the line allows to sidestep the standard queue and join a preferential line. This option is available while booking online or directly inside the rental stations of: Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Milan Central Station, Olbia, Cagliari, Naples and Catania Airport. The client may easily switch to the dedicated fast track by taking the number designed for this service, and pay for it only once he reaches the desk. The rate charged for this service is 6,99€ during the Low season and 14,99€ in the High season.

Lookout for “Zona Traffico Limitato"


The access to the historical centre of Milano is limited by the Congestion Charge Area (AREA C) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 7.30 am to 7.30 p.m., and on Thursday from 7.30 am to 6 p.m. get into “Area C “ you must activate and entrance ticket of 5 Euro.

Area C is bounded by “Cerchia dei Bastioni”. The ticket must be activated no later than midnight of the next day access. During the activation time, the access in Area C is Forbidden to “Euro 0 “petrol vehicles and to “Euro 0 ,1,2,3 “diesel vehicles with a length more than 7.5 meters.

Euro 3 Diesel vehicles belonging to residents, vehicles for the transportation of good for public utilities and for residences and tour buses can access up to the end of the experimental time.


POLLUTING VEHICLES


In Milan, like in the main part of the LOMBARDIA, there are limitation to the traffic from October 15th to April 15th for these kind of Vehicles:

→ Petrol Euro 0 Vehicles
→ Diesel Euro 0, 1, 2 Vehicles

That limitation is in force from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm in working days. Can circulate who’s of these that have the double fuelled (petrol+gpl or petrol+methane).

Piazza Gae Aulenti

Piazza gae Aulenti was inaugurated on 8th December 2012 and has become the epicenter of modernity in Milan.
The rehabilitation was directed by Cesar Pelli, an Argentinian Architect. The square is enclosed by many buildings, the most important is the 231 meters tall UniCredit Tower which is the highest skyscraper in Italy. When the sun goes down, the square comes alive with the Solar Tree in the center of the square lights the area using solar energy accumulated during the day. In the vicinity there is The Vertical Forest, designed by Stefano Boeri, two towers covered by 2.000 species of plants.

Monumental Cemetery

The Cimitero Monumentale is one of the most impressive attractions in Milan. The sculptures and the architectures of the Monumental Cemetery are considered by many as an open-air museum with masters “works of art”. It’s possible to do a tour inside, usually free.
It is the largest cemetery in Milan and contains a Jewish section and tombs of non-Catholic families.
The famedio, designed to be a church, host the bodies of prominent citizens which Alessandro Manzoni, Salvatore Quasimodo, Giorgio Gaber . The last body interred was of Dario Fo,took place on 15 October 2016.
